Trouw Nutrition Ireland has appointed AWARE as its charity partner for the year, 2022-23.  This is the company’s first official charity partner, as they seek to raise awareness of mental health services and support mental health amongst its team and the wider agri industry.

Part of a globally leading animal nutrition company with its headquarters in Belfast, Trouw Nutrition Ireland employs over 60 staff across Ireland. The company will be participating in a series of fundraising initiatives throughout 2022, with staff and their friends and families encouraged to raise vital funds for AWARE whilst also benefiting from their support services.

Commenting on the new partnership, Leeanne McCullough, HR Manager at Trouw Nutrition Ireland said:

“We are partnering with AWARE as we recognise the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.  AWARE offers so many resources not only to individuals struggling with mental health issues but also to organisations - equipping them to support their people and have open conversations about mental health. We are excited to work with AWARE to support their mission.”

The partnership follows the recent launch of Trouw Nutrition Ireland’s new Health & Wellbeing programme: “This partnership forms part of our wider Sustainability Strategy and a recently launched company Health and Wellbeing programme which we refer to as Healthy Life,” explains Aidan Fisher, General Manager. “Our core focus is supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people – our most important asset – and we hope that by working with AWARE, we will be connecting every single person in our team to valuable information and services for life both in and outside of work,” Aidan added.

Lisa Abell-Farrelly, Corporate Partnership Officer at AWARE, said:

“We’re pleased to welcome Trouw Nutrition as our new corporate partner. Poor mental health is a significant issue in Northern Ireland and with the help of Trouw Nutrition, we will be able to continue to be there for people who need it most. We’re looking forward to working together over the next year to educate staff about how best to maintain positive mental health whilst raising vital funds for mental health services in Northern Ireland.”
