What are the Investors in Mental Health Awards?

The Investors in Mental Health Awards recognise schools, workplaces and community organisations across Northern Ireland who are taking meaningful steps to support positive mental health.

Developed by AWARE NI, the initiative celebrates organisations that are creating environments where people feel supported, conversations about mental health are encouraged, and wellbeing is prioritised.

Organisations who demonstrate a commitment to promoting positive mental health will be recognised as Investors in Mental Health and invited to celebrate their achievements at our awards event.

Successful organisations receive a framed certificate and can use the Investors in Mental Health logo to highlight their commitment to mental wellbeing.

During our 2024 cycle 68 schools, workplaces and individuals across Northern Ireland were recognised as Investors in Mental Health.

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED - APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED EARLY SEPTEMBER WITH RESULTS.

Why is the Investors in Mental Health Award important?

Mental health is one of the most important issues facing our society today, with 1 in 5 people experiencing a mental health problem in Northern Ireland each year.

Schools, workplaces and community organisations all play an important role in creating environments where people feel supported, valued and able to talk openly about their wellbeing.

The Investors in Mental Health initiative recognises organisations who are taking positive steps to:

  • Promote open conversations about mental health

  • Create supportive and inclusive environments
