This six-session programme can make a big difference in your life by helping you manage feelings of stress, worry, and depression. It teaches you simple and practical skills to cope with life's challenges.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts, the most evidence-based therapy for low mood, anxiety, or depression, this programme was developed by Dr. Chris Williams, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Glasgow and an expert in CBT self-help resources.
The programme introduces the Five Areas Approach, showing how life events affect our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and physical feelings. Since we have the most control over our thinking and behaviour, the program focuses on challenging and changing negative thinking and behaviours to break the 'vicious circle' and create a 'virtuous circle.'
Experienced facilitators deliver the course, ensuring you gain the most benefit and start living life to the full.
This programme is designed to help those with moderate to medium depression, and is not suitable for those facing severe symptoms of depression.

This course is for people living with cancer and those living beyond cancer/cancer survivors, including those affected by depression. It is delivered in various settings, such as community venues and online. The programme lasts approximately two hours.
While there is a lot of support for people living with cancer when going through treatment, once treatment has finished, it can feel like that support subsides. This can feel lonely and isolating, not knowing where to turn to access appropriate support. This course gives participants knowledge and skills to maintain or rebuild good mental health and build resilience to deal with life’s challenges.
Based on Cognitive Behavioural Concepts, the programme introduces the Five Areas Approach to help participants challenge and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour. It also includes the Take 5 for Your Emotional Wellbeing, which focuses on the five most-evidenced ways to maintain mental health: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, and Give.
