Gary Rodgers, Ballynahinch Motor Factors is showing his support for AWARE during the upcoming Northern Ireland Rally Championship. Gary has branded his rally car with the AWARE logo to help spread awareness of depression and the support available.

Commenting on his decision to brand his car Gary said, “I wanted to help raise the profile of depression and the support that is out there. I hope this helps people to talk more about depression and to ask for help if they need it.”

Teresa Sloan, Director Fundraising & Communications, AWARE said, “It’s great to see this support for AWARE during the Northern Ireland Rally Championship. More than 300 million people worldwide are affected by depression.

“AWARE has 23 support groups across Northern Ireland for people with depression or bipolar disorder, and their family and friends. We also offer an online support group and an email support service. In terms of education AWARE delivers a range of wellbeing and mindfulness courses to communities, schools and colleges and workplaces.

“We’d like to wish Gary the best of luck in the championship and hope his car helps to spread the message that there is support available for people affected by depression.”
