AWARE announces new partnership with European law firm, Fieldfisher.
AWARE is delighted to have been selected as the new charity partner of European law firm Fieldfisher's Belfast office.
The Fieldfisher Belfast Hub is one of the firm's 25 offices located across 11 countries. They work collaboratively across every location to ensure clients receive the best advice and support. Since opening its doors in 2018, with a headcount of just seven, the Belfast Hub has grown to a 90-strong team of Solicitors, Legal Professionals and a host of support functions, whose work spans the firm's broad, international remit.
Lisa Algie, Office Manager for the Belfast Hub comments:
"To focus our charity efforts on real impact, we collaborate with organisations within our communities, with each office partnering with its own chosen charities to fundraise, raise awareness, and leverage its people's skills and experience to support important causes. In Belfast, we are delighted to be partnering with AWARE, which was nominated by members of our staff, some of whom have first-hand experience in using their services for support through mental health challenges.
"We recognise that it has been an especially challenging 18 months for everyone, and access to mental health support through public services can sometimes be difficult. Our firm was in a fortunate position to be able to establish a number of easy-to-access resources to support wellbeing that we encourage our staff to take advantage of. We hope that by collaborating with AWARE, we can help them to continue offering the fantastic and important support and resources they offer around mental health and resilience to our wider community."
Lisa Abell-Farrelly, Corporate Relationship Officer at AWARE, added:
"We are thrilled to have been chosen as Fieldfisher's newest charity partner. The team have already demonstrated their enthusiasm for AWARE's cause by hosting their very own Sports Day to raise £220 (and counting) for those affected by mental illness in Northern Ireland! We're very excited to work together over the next year both to raise vital awareness and funds for mental health services in Northern Ireland, but also to provide mental health education and support to Fieldfisher's staff."
