Almost £10,000 raised at the lunch event with Martin O’Neill

AWARE is delighted that almost £10,000 was raised at an event featuring football manager, Martin O’Neill in the Everglades Hotel on Thursday 10 March 2016.


Derry City footballing legend Felix Healy was the main event organiser. Felix said,

 “AWARE does amazing work for people affected by depression across Northern Ireland, and I am delighted to have organised this event for such an excellent charity.

 “To have Martin O’Neill support AWARE is fantastic and I am delighted he accepted the invitation to host the lunch and Question and Answer session. 


Teresa Sloan, Director of Fundraising and Communications at AWARE said,

 “We are thrilled that almost £10,000 has been raised for AWARE through this excellent event. A massive well done to everyone involved in making this lunch such a success. 

 “AWARE provide a range of support services to people affected by depression as well as a variety of education programmes to inform people of how to look after their mental health. The money raised at this event will be put back into the organisation to ensure the continuation of these services."
