AWARE has funding to deliver 3 Mood Matters Adults programmes in the Northern Trust area free of charge. The Northern Trust area covers the four new council areas - Antrim and Newtownabbey District, Causeway Coast and Glens District, Mid and East Antrim District and Mid Ulster District.

The Mood Matters Adult programme would be best suited to community groups with adults aged 18+ and workplaces. It gives participants knowledge and skills which can be used to maintain good mental health and build resilience to deal with life’s challenges.

The programme is based on cognitive behavioural concepts and introduces the ‘Five Areas Approach’ which participants use to challenge and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour in order to make a positive difference to their lives. It also features the ‘Take5 for Your Emotional Wellbeing’ which focuses on the five most evidenced ways of looking after our mental health i.e. Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give and teaches us how we can build these into our everyday lives.

For more information, please email or call your nearest AWARE office either Belfast 028 9035 7820 or Derry/ Londonderry on 028 7126 0602. The Mood Matters Adults programme must be delivered by 31 March 2019.
