AWARE are hosting ten public talks throughout Northern Ireland during 2015/16. AWARE have already hosted successful talks in Bangor and in Coalisland.

As depression affects 1 in 4 of the population at some stage in their lives.  AWARE believe that it is vital for people with depression and those close to them to know as much information about the illness as possible in order to overcome it. Therefore, we will be hosting public talks throughout Northern Ireland. Our next talk will be in Craigavon on Wednesday 28 October at Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre at 7pm.

The format of the Public Talk will follow the others and will have a Psychiatrist talking about depression symptoms, types, treatments. A user talking about their personal experience of depression. A carers perspective on caring for somebody with depression. AWARE will also be there explaining the range of services we provide and how they could help you.

Following the speakers, there will be a Questions and Answers from the audience to the panel of speakers. There will also be information available to the audience including literature which people can take home to read.

AWARE volunteers will be there and are happy to have a chat.
