Wellness Challenge

Taking time to stop, put the phone down and look around you is even more important now when we are working and living much of our lives virtually.  Even though many of us are feeling more stressed or anxious than usual due to COVID-19, you can still take some time out to enjoy the everyday beauty, sights and sounds around you.

In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week, AWARE wants to invite you to take part in our #HomeAndAware campaign to improve your wellbeing at home by taking part in an AWARE Wellness Challenge of your choice!

To help get you started, we’ve listed some ideas below:

  • Take part in an online yoga session
  • Try meditation
  • Get out in the garden…plants some seeds, pull some weeds and if you’re lucky, bask in some beautiful sunshine!
  • Have a pyjama day
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep- go to bed early and wake up refreshed!
  • Make a healthy dinner
  • Drink 2 litres of water throughout the day
  • Spend time teaching your pet a new trick!
  • Draw or paint outdoors
  • Learn a new skill
  • Organise an online coffee morning with your friends

There are 4 simple steps to take part in a Wellness Challenge for AWARE:

  • Choose your AWARE Wellness Challenge.
  • Head to AWARE’s AWARE JustGiving page to make a donation.
  • Complete your AWARE Wellness Challenge.
  • Share a video or photo of your challenge on social media OR you can upload a video telling us what you did to improve your wellness. Please remember to quote #HomeAndAWARE and make sure to tag AWARE on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
