AWARE welcomes Foyle Port as new corporate partner
AWARE, the depression charity for Northern Ireland is delighted to announce a new corporate partnership with Foyle Port.
Foyle Port is the key marine gateway to the North West of Ireland for both commerce and tourism. The Port handles approximately two million tonnes of cargo per annum and offers a diverse range of services including marine services, civil and structural engineering and steel fabrication. Supporting in the region of 1000 jobs, the Port makes a vital contribution to the North West regional economy.
Brian McGrath, Foyle Port Chief Executive said about the partnership: “Due to the increasing importance of supporting mental health during the ongoing pandemic we have decided to partner with AWARE, a well-established mental health charity. The focus of this partnership is to help educate and provide support to our employees living with or affected by ill mental health. We hope to establish a work culture where everyone can talk about their mental health openly, access services appropriate to their needs and develop the skills and knowledge to maintain positive mental health”
Bridie Kelly, Corporate Relationship Officer at AWARE commented: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Foyle Port. As part of our partnership, our facilitators will deliver various Mood Matters programmes which will enable employees to take responsibility for and develop the tools needed to look after their own mental health. These programmes are proven to reduce stress in the workplace and promote a more positive working environment, something many employers like Foyle Port are striving for especially in these challenging times.
